What do all the abbreviations mean?

It seems that there's little correspondence from state to state, or province to province, about what acupuncturist's abbreviations mean, but here's a short list of what we know so far. To add to the confusion, sometimes acupuncturists list who accredited them, also in an abbreviated form.  The names of licenses are different somewhat in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., and sometimes practitioners mention where they went to school (e.g., U.K.) in the same abbreviation.  Sometimes acupuncturists practice in addition to their training in another field.  So you'll also see M.D., Ph.D., D.C., D.D.S., L.M.T., and the occasional J.D.  Just keeps you guessing! :-)  Hope this helps...
